iPhone apps seem to be everywhere at the moment, and I’m pretty sure that there will be a time when there will be an iPhone app for everything! OK a bit of an exaggeration but it feels like its going in that direction.
I’m always on the look out for ways that I can save money and with the current iPhone apps craze, I thought it would be fitting to find out what iPhone apps are currently on the market that can help you save. Here’s some awesome money saving iPhone apps to get you started:

iPhone Apps That Can Help You Save Money
RedLaser
It’s been around for a while now but if you enjoy shopping then RedLaser is an iPhone app that you simply have to use. The way it works is simple, when you’re out an about you can scan a barcode of a product using the application, and it will then tell you the price of the product online. You can then compare the price of what the application has told you with the price in store to find out if you have found a good deal. RedLaser has been featured on iPhone television ads and it’s an app that can save you a lot of money.
BillMinder
Do you have trouble tracking your bills like I do? There’s always something that I forget to pay, or something that creeps up on me, with BillMinder that doesn’t happen. BillMinder plainly and simply helps you track all of your bills, from your car insurance (click here) all the way to your credit cards, and let’s face it nobody likes paying credit card charges. You can put into your phone how much your bill will be and when it’s due and it will send you reminders that you need to pay it, so you can save money by avoiding any late payments, it’s a great app that I think everyone should make use of. It comes with a great user interface too which makes it really easy to use. At time of writing it costs $0.99 from the app store, and its well worth the money.
Skype for iPhone
Since Skype was first released in 2003, its rise has been incredible, and now there’s an iPhone app to go with it. Using the Skype iPhone app, you can practically call or send a message to anyone, anywhere in the world who also uses the application. The app is also completely free, and if you constantly call family or friends it can help you save a lot of money. With the latest version of the app released recently you can now also use 3G calling, another great addition.
Coupon Sherpa
There’s nothing better than saving money when you’re out and about and Coupon Sherpa allows you to do just that. This iPhone app gives you access to thousands of in-store coupons for a wide range of merchants. These coupons are made available straight to your iPhone and there are all sorts of merchants to choose from, including clothes stores, restaurants, book stores, media and more. When you’re out making a purchase make sure you check for a voucher before you buy. This app is great if you live in the US, however, if you live in the UK like I do, the MoneySupermarket.com Vouchers app does the same thing and it’s brilliant; check it out to start saving some money.
Spend
When you’re trying to save money, learning how to budget is essential and Spend helps you do exactly that. Spend gives you the ability to track your expenses. Basically whenever you spend money you make a note in the application and it keeps a running total for you, you then know exactly how much you’ve spent for a given time period. You can then set yourself a budget on Spend, and it will let you know how much of your budget you have spent and it will warn you when you are close to going over your budget. At a cost of 99 cents Spend is well worth the money.
